|
Indonesia Port Corporation III is a Limited State-Owned Enterprise, with all shares belong to the government of Indonesia. The main task of the corporation is to manage 39 ports in the provinces of Central Java, East Java, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, South Kalimantan, and Central Kalimantan.
Since 1960, Indonesia Ports was nationally managed by State Owned Enterprise based on Government Regulation No. 19, 1960 until 1985. It changed to be public company based on Government Regulation No. 16/1983 and Government Regulation No. 6/1985. In 1992, the form of port company has been changed to be limited corporation with new name Indonesia Port Corporation III.
IPC III Ports that handle International trade are Tanjung Perak, Tanjung Emas, Semarang Container Terminal, Banjarmasin, Tanjung Intan, Benoa, and Tenau Kupang. The Ports of Tanjung Perak, Tanjung Emas, and Banjarmasin are enhanced with international container terminal facilities.
To promote efficiency and corporate performance, Indonesia Port Corporation III enhanced the organization by setting-up strategic business units as subsidiaries and entering into joint venture arrangements with corporations performing related port activities.
Indonesia Port Corporation III has established
some subsidiaries and joint venture company as follows :
1. PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya is an international container handling
terminal
2. PT Berlian Jasa Terminal Indonesia is a conventional cargo terminal
3. PT Rumah Sakit Pelabuhan Surabaya provides facilities for port
community health and medical services
4. PT Portek Indonesia provides maintenance of cargo handling equipment
and other port equipment
5. PT Ambang Barito Nusapersada handles ship channel management and
dredging

Outbound Commodities: Roll Paper, HVS Paper, Wire Road, Wire, Pellets (ampas gandum), Dried Tapioca (gaplek), Cocoa, Steel Sheets, Pipes and Tubes, Coconut Oil Cake (bungkil), Cement, Oil, and Gas.
