PROJECT PROPOSALS
Introduction of EDI-Based
Information System on Dangerous Goods in Selected ASEAN Ports
During the 5th ASEAN
Maritime Transport Working Group Meeting, it
was noted that the APA is agreeable to the GTZ proposed approach:
the conduct of a short-term expert mission to identify or update the
needs for regional cooperation and port specific improvement requirements; and
the subsequent formulation of a project implementation design for presentation
and discussion during the next regular APA meeting.
The APA will await advise from
the ASEAN Secretariat on the matter.
Development of a Uniform Scheme
of EDI Application in Intermodal/Multimodal Transport System and Training of
Users
The
ASEAN Secretariat is awaiting the response on the project proposal submitted to
the EC in August 2001. it will
re-submit the proposal to EC and inform the APA Permanent Secretariat of any
developments in this regard.

RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT
The
next seminar on Human Resource Development will be hosted by Vietnam in 2003.
